Romney cancels VB rally for Sandy

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has canceled a rally for Sunday night in Virginia Beach due to Hurricane Sandy.

Romney was supposed to hold a rally Sunday Oct. 28 at Farm Bureau Live Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. It's the same venue where President Barack Obama held a campaign rally one month earlier.

Due to Hurricane Sandy's anticipated impacts, the event has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later time.

Sunday's event was scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m.
