Graphic trucks make political statement

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Box trucks covered in graphic images rolled down the streets of Hampton Roads Monday.

The images are of aborted fetuses.

The trucks belong to The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform. The group says it is trying to get voters to think about abortion as they decide which political candidate to support on Election Day.

It says the graphic images are necessary to get the point across.

Michael Heath drives one of the trucks. He told WAVY.com, "I think that this is spot on and history shows that social reform movements are successful when they use images and graphics that portray the truth and there's no doubt that these trucks and images like this do that."

The organization says it has additional trucks, that will be traveling through other battleground states. The trucks in Virginia will travel throughout the state and are expected to return to the Virginia Beach area around election time.
