Jill Biden to make stops in 3 Michigan cities

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — President Barack Obama's re-election campaign says the wife of Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Michigan.

The campaign says Jill Biden is to appear in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek on Saturday.

She's to attend an Obama-Biden canvass kick-off event at the Obama For America field office in Grand Rapids, be at a Students for Obama-Biden event at the Hicks Student Center at Kalamazoo College and go to the opening of an Obama campaign field office in Battle Creek.

Biden's husband has been a frequent visitor to Michigan, with three stops in Detroit this summer.

Joe Biden campaigned at Detroit's Labor Day rally, spoke at Detroit Renaissance High School on Aug. 22 and addressed the American Federation of Teachers' Detroit national convention July 29.
