BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is returning home after a whirlwind trip to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
On Saturday, Patrick attends a naturalization ceremony for new citizens from Berkshires County at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge.
On Monday, the governor addresses the AIDS 2012 Vaccine Conference at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and celebrates the opening of a community health center in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood.
Patrick won accolades from fellow delegates at the convention after he delivered a fiery speech designed to whip up the crowd as Democrats try to build momentum to help re-elect President Barack Obama in November.
Patrick told the delegates to "grow a backbone" and stand up for Democratic ideals.
